RENEW AND RESERVE BOOKS ONLINE

Reporting from the Library Desk Kellie Lepodisi is excited to inform Maru a Pula Community that library resources can now be renewed and reserved from the school's intranet. Users can log on to any computer on the school campus and renew the due date without having to visit the library circulation desk. Borrowed items can also be reserved from the users' profile. Any patron who reserve items that have been loaned to somebody else will automatically get an email notification upon return of the items.

Email has been sent to ALL detailing the CLIENT CODE and PASSWORD  specific to each user.Everyone should check the mail and log on to the MapLibrary Sytem to view their profiles. The advantage of the set-up is that it reduces the number of clients at the circulation desk, saves time for the clients as they do not have to bring the books to the circulation desk. Patrons can also view their history, that is all the books they have borrowed from the library. Students who have been used to test the functionality of the set-up are so excited and the Library Staff has a sense of relief

Mrs Onen Moves on

Margaret Onen and Stella Madzikigwa ( A Practical Handover Session)
Mrs Margaret Onen bid Maru a Pula School goodbye at the end of 2009. She served  the school for 9 years as a kind, gentle and passionate Librarian who ensured ethical Library Practice at all times. The Librarian collection left behind by Mrs Onen reflects a well balanced budget allocation as there are no signs of bias on the collection. Her skills on the Library Management System are a reflection of proffessional librarianship Apart from doing Library work Mrs Onen was active in afternoon activities such s childline, netball, aerobics and study skills.
